Elmer Veith has spent the last 20 years working in the entertainment industry, focusing on rigging and structure-related projects. Having worked for several industry-leading companies, he is currently the head of sales and marketing for Reliable Design Services in Dallas, Texas. Past projects have included the Lombardi Trophy structure at NFL Experience 2018, the catwalk system at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii, RAM Truck and Nissan Truck exhibits at the State Fair of Texas and development of the Pointman Electric Chain hoist. An active member of the ESTA Technical Standards Program’s Rigging Working Group, he is currently leading the task groups charged with updating the ANSI E1.6-2 and E1.6-3 standards. Elmer is knowledgeable on standard truss products and custom fabricated components and systems, and he offers students practical instruction in real-world rigging applications. Elmer is currently based in Atlanta, Georgia.
